Dr. Howard Paul Phd
I have retired from practice. I can be reached at [email protected]. As required by law, I will maintain records until September 2026 at which time all remaining records will be destroyed. Until then, please contact me if records are needed.
My diagnostic specialties include psychoeducational assessment and neuropsychological assessment. I have significant background in assessing ADHD and learning disabilities.
For those interested, please see my two books, both available on Amazon: The Heart Of Psychology: Unraveling the mysteries of the Mind and Marriage, or Any Long Term Relationship, Is it GOOD for you Or NOT: The information you need to prevent a preventable disaster.
I am a retired professor of Psychiatry at Rutgers Medical School and a Field Supervisor for the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology. Additionally, I am the Book Review Editor of the Journal of Child & Family Behavior Therapy. I have published about 150 articles, studies, book chapters and book reviews. I am a behaviorally oriented scientist-practitioner, combining short term, empirically supported treatment for a broad range of human challenges with a humanistic, person oriented style.
My psychodiagnostic specialty includes psychoeducational assessment and neuropsychological assessment. I have an extensive background dealing with learning disabilities, developmental disabilities as well as Autistic Spectrum Disorders. As well as being licensed, I am Board Certified in both Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Medicine.

Evaluations range, on average from $1250.00 to $1500 and the fee is based on total time spent. My hourly fee is $300.00. I may charge this amount for other professional services you may need, though I will break down the hourly cost if I work for periods of less than one hour.
Other services may include supplemental report writing (which may be requested in addition to the written report provided after any evaluation), telephone conversations lasting longer than 5 minutes, consulting with other professionals with your permission, preparation of records or treatment summaries, and the time spent performing any other service you may request of me.
If you become involved in legal proceedings that require my participation, you will be expected to pay for all of my professional time, including preparation and transportation costs, even if I am called to testify by another party. Because of the difficulty of legal involvement, I charge $350.00 per hour for preparation and attendance at any legal proceeding.
Please note that I accept no insurance plans. You may qualify for out of network benefits and must check with your insurer to see if you have this benefit.
